Any way we could earn some more points to get stuff from the site?

Hi, Jeffman - Welcome to the Connection. We have a number of new training courses in the works for the Windows Mobile Training site - they should be appearing later this year. And depending on what market you're in, there are also some upcoming courses on individual devices, although the courses will vary by country and carrier. Is that what you were talking about?

Just curious but are there any extra incentives coming to the site in the area of Rewards? I don't mean to sound ungreatful for what is already up there because the concept of doing the test for actual Hardware and Software is awesome but I was excited to get Halo 3 which I notice has been removed. Anything coming up soon in the near future in that department?

Welcome, GDawgTUK. I checked with the person who runs the incentives program at WMT, and right now it looks like new prizes will likely be coming to the site at the end of November. You'll also be seeing some new courses by the end of the year, so that will mean new ways to earn points. So stay tuned to the site...

I was wondering also about the points thing. I have both certifacations i can get and my other question is do the points roll over at the end of the year when the certifacations end?

Hi, teanea. Yes, you do keep your points at the end of the year. When the certifications expire at the end of the year, all that means is that you have a chance to collect more points by passing the new tests, which will have a lot of brand-new material.

Unfortunately, the points here on the forum don't carry over to the training site. However, by collecting forum points, you're increasing your ranking in the community, and you're also entered in any giveaways or contests that are related to points. For example, you've probably already seen our "11 in 11" contest thread. As a registered member, you'll also have access to our private live events, such as our recent Coffee Talk session about the Samsung Epix.
