Contacts Bug in Bing (Windows Mobile Application)

I have found what appears to be a bug, which I have repro'd on two different devices using Bing (v4.6.6169) for Windows Mobile.

Devices: AT&T Tilt (WinMo 6.1) and VZW Imagio (WinMo 6.5)

Scenario: Determining a route to a given address using an existing Contact entry that has multiple addresses.

    Repro Steps:

    • Directions
    • Pick your starting address.
    • For ending address, choose "new ending location."
    • Pick "Contacts"

ISSUE DEMONSTRATED AT THIS POINT: When a contact has multiple addresses, they display but no matter which address you highlight and press "Select" it chooses the first (default?) one.

This issue did not exist in the old Live application.  Is this a known issue and/or when can we expect a fix?

    Thanks,

    CB

    Welcome, ChrBrown30.

    ChrBrown30:
ISSUE DEMONSTRATED AT THIS POINT: When a contact has multiple addresses, they display but no matter which address you highlight and press "Select" it chooses the first (default?) one.

I've just tried this with Bing on WM 6.5, and I can add another confirmation of this issue. Thanks so much for posting your reproduction steps. We'll forward this to our contact on the Bing team and see if we can get any more information.

Have you heard back from the Bing team?  Have they ack'd the issue and given any estimate as to when it will be fixed?  This is a major regression (IMHO) from the Live-branded version and the version that's out hasn't been updated much...

Thanks again for tracking this, ChrBrown30. We did indeed send this issue to a number of internal contacts, but haven't heard anything back. As you may know, things can take some time to wind their way to the right people. We'll keep you posted here.

In a related note: If you recall, a new Bing client application has been promised for sometime this year, so it's possible that the team is focusing mostly on the new version.
