Hey, folks, we've just heard definite word that the official Facebook application for Windows Mobile should be available for free download very soon! (We don't have the exact date yet, but stay tuned here for the announcement.)

And for all of you who have been waiting patiently, we've got an inside look at some of the new features that set it apart from other applications on the market! Check out a few of the features that are part of the app:

• Profile – View your profile, update status, write on wall, add photos and videos, and send messages
• News feeds –  Compose, view, reply and delete items
• Status updates – View, update and change picture
• Photos and videos – Upload and view pictures, people tag, geo tag, auto upload to Facebook, read photo details, and make comments. The application will be the only version on the market offering the ability to upload video right from the phone.
• Wall – Post and delete items
• Friends profile – Invite, comment on status, view full profile, and email, SMS or call from profile
• Email – View, send and reply
• Notifications – View, poke and accept notifications
• Requests – Confirm friend requests and invites

I have facebook set as my homepage for both IE and Opera. The thing I miss is being able to post up pics. I used FIM to upload a pic today to my wall. Seemed to work ok.

Looking forward to the video uploading.

You can allready find a version of the MS Facebook App in the Internet. But it is a 0.14. I've installed it an my HTC Touch HD and for this low version number i have to say it runs really well.

Another welcome in this thread to Matthileo - many newcomers in this popular thread, which is not suprising as so many people use Facebook. We are all looking forward to this application on Windows Mobile.

I just received a batch of screenshots from the new Facebook application. What's cool about these is they show the app running on a WM 6.1 Standard phone - I've never seen this before!
