A couple of these work nicely in combination, depending on how you want to consume information on Twitter, Facebook and other networks. I really like Pocketwit to post simultaneously to all my statuses using ping.fm, but then HelloTwitFace is the best for actually reading Facebook -- at least until the hotly awaited Microsoft Facebook app comes out soon!

    Currently using the Samsung Epix

Re: All Twitter Apps for Windows Mobile

Hi, Twitter people - I'm spending more and more time on Twitter, and the question, "Anyone know a good Twitter app for Windows Mobile?" is one of the most common Tweets I see!

And now that Twikini 1.3 is out, it appears that this client is starting to get a pretty big following.

HOWEVER - I use TweetDeck to do real-time searches for stuff related to the #windowsmobile tag, and in the past couple of days I've started noticing lots and lots of tweets with this tag that are in the format, "I'm listening to "some song" on my #WindowsMobile phone."

After a bit of reading on the Twikini site, I found out that there's an automatic "feature" in Twikini that tweets any song you're listening to in Windows Media Player - and it's turned on by default, apparently. So beware - if you're using Twikini, and you don't want all of Twitter to see what you're listening to on your phone, make sure you turn off the feature.

But hey, if you want your phone to tweet automatically your playlist, leave it on!

I'm Beta testing a new Twitter client from Panoramic called moTweets. It's the best Twitter client I've used yet.

    More about it here soon.

Thanks for the heads up, Bill.  I was thinking of trying Twikini, and you've just spared me the embarrassment that would result when my phone told the world every time I was listening to Men Without Hats' "The Safety Dance"!  Wink

I believe it's free for MVP's Todd. Twikini that is, not Men Without Hats' "The Safety Dance.... Wink

Update: I got in touch with the Twikini development team by e-mail to ask them about the song-tweeting feature, and they actually informed me that it's NOT on by default, but is one of the most popular features in the newer releases of their client. Pretty interesting.

Anyway, I found the Twikini people to be incredibly cool and very responsive - definitely worth supporting!

Pocketnow mentioned another new client recently:

Twaddle supports most of the core features found on Twitter and seems to pack a pretty good punch in its infancy. The next version should be out soon and will support some of the missing features you’d expect out of a Twitter client. Be sure to keep an eye on Twaddle because it’s very much in active development. Always grab the latest version from Get.Twaddle.Mobi

I just noticed at Pocketnow.com that another Twitter client is on the way: TouchTwit is designed for Windows phones, and is currently in the certification process to appear on the Windows Marketplace for Mobile. You can follow TouchTwit developments on Twitter: http://twitter.com/TouchTwitInfo
